Welcome to First Grade!

I joined the Shark team in 2013 after being a second grade teacher at Lakewood Creek for seven years. Since coming to Southbury I have served on the District Math Committee, Rising Star Committee, and the Southbury Mastery Connect building coach.

I received my bachelor’s degree in Biology from Aurora University. After working in the health care industry I returned to Aurora University to earn my master’s in elementary education. I was a K-5 Technology Instructor in the East Aurora School District prior to coming to SD308.

My philosophy of education is to instill a love of learning for every student while building their confidence. I know we will have a fun and successful year together.
