Degrees and Certifications:

Welcome to fourth grade!

I am thrilled to begin the 2021-2022 school year at Grande Park and to be part of such a warm and dynamic community. Our school is an exceptional place to teach and learn, and I feel fortunate to be in this profession doing what I love.  This will be a year of independent growth, learning, and utilizing your learner voice and choice.  Be prepared to focus, always try your best, and maintain a growth mindset.

I have been an educator in District 308 since 2005.  My undergraduate degree is from Southern Illinois University and I earned my masters from the College of Education as an Elementary Reading Specialist at Concordia University - Chicago.  Included with my professional growth is masters +48 that has kept me very busy and allowed me to continue my education.

My philosophy is teaching from the heart while allowing learners to discover their skills, voice, and personal learning style to promote and contribute as a leader in the classroom, school, and community.  In addition, my passion is motivating 4th grade learners to be curious and develop a positive growth mindset and healthy self-esteem. I strive for excellence and encourage each of my learners to follow that lead with a daily effort coming prepared to learn and have fun!

I am looking forward to our educational journey this year with our GROWTH mindset and Grizzly G.R.O.W.L. attitude!

I am excited to learn about your unique characteristics and can't wait for all the contributions you are going to bring to our classroom!

We are in this together and we are going to show up each day with our GRIZZLY effort and pride!
