Mrs. Pamela Sackmann
I graduated from the University of Illinois, Chicago, with a bachelor's degree in psychology and political science. After graduation, I was accepted into the Teachers for Chicago program, and started my teaching career on the south side of Chicago. While teaching at Horace Mann, I completed my master’s degree in curriculum and instruction at Chicago State University, with middle school endorsements in language arts, science, social studies and gifted education. I completed all of my coursework for my doctorate, and my Type 75 administrative certificate at Northern Illinois University.
This is my 24th year of teaching, and I still love every day with my students. After two year of commuting to Chicago, I decided to work closer to home, and joined Oswego District 308. I started at Boulder Hill, and then joined Thompson to teach math, social studies and language arts. I have also had the opportunity to utilize my Type 75 certification by covering several assistant principal administrative leaves. I currently enjoy teaching 7th grade ELA, and 6th grade Honors ELA.
