Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Christopher Puckett
Welcome to Physical Education. I attended Eastern Illinois University, in Charleston, where I received my bachelor’s degree in physical education and a minor in health education. I received my master’s degree from the University of St. Francis, Joliet, Ill., in administration. This is my 23rd year in education. I started as a middle school teacher at Shabbona Middle school, in Morris, Ill. In 2002, I was hired at Oswego High School, where I taught physical education and became the department chair for kinetic wellness. I was then hired at Oswego East High School as dean of students and for the last four years, I was an assistant principal at Plank Junior High School. After much thought, I am happy to have made the decision to go back to the classroom and again work with our kids. This is my fifth year here at Thompson and every day my decision is reaffirmed. I am truly blessed to work in a great school and community. It is great to be a TIGER!
