Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Stephanie Modaff
Welcome! I am very excited about this year.
This is my 18th year teaching in School District 308, and my first few classes of fourth grade students have graduated from high school. For my first four years, I had the privilege of teaching fourth grade. After that, I looped with my class and taught fifth grade for one year and was a reading specialist for a year. Since then I have taught fourth grade and second grade! This is my very 1st year in 3rd grade, so I will be learning right along with the kids!
I graduated from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, in December 2002, and from the University of St. Francis in May 2008 with my master’s degree in education with a reading specialization. I became national board certified, which was a lifetime goal, and finished my master’s degree in educational technology at Concordia University, Chicago in June, 2015. I am very passionate about children and teaching and thankful for the profession I am in. I am positive this year is going to be a great year. I anticipate students growing mentally, physically and socially throughout this year.
