Bachelor of Arts History Degree Masters in Educational Leadership
Ms. Cynthia Miller
Hello!
I attended Aurora University, where I received a bachelor’s degree in history, and a minor in language arts in 2000. I received a master’s in Educational Leadership in 2004. Since that time I have continued my education taking a variety of courses through several different institutions and conferences.
I joined District 308 in August 2000. I started at Thompson Junior High, where I taught seventh grade language arts. I helped open Bednarcik Junior High in 2002 and then Murphy Junior High in 2012. I have taught seventh grade language arts, seventh grade world history, seventh grade honors world history, eighth grade U.S. history and honors U.S. history. Every spring for the last 16 years I have led the annual eighth grade trip to Washington, D.C. In the past I have led NJHS, Student Council, Ambassador Club, Chess Club, coached volleyball and sponsored volleyball intramurals. This year I am excited to be a member of the Murphy AVID site team!
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my children and grandchildren, traveling, and reading.
