Science Teacher

I attended the University of Illinois, Chicago, where I received my bachelor’s degree in biology in 1999. Upon graduation, I began to pursue a teaching degree from Governors State University, Chicago. I graduated from Governors State in 2001 with a second bachelor’s degree in biology and a secondary teaching certificate. I have since earned my master’s degree in teacher leadership in life science from Aurora University, Aurora, IL.


I began my teaching career at Bloom Trail High School, Chicago Heights, in 2001. I taught general science, honors chemistry, general chemistry, chemistry in the community and biology during my time at Bloom Trail. I also sponsored the Science Club. I joined the Oswego East High School (OEHS) faculty in 2005, and I am proud to say that I am now in my 16th year as a Wolf. In my time at OEHS, I have taught biology, chemistry, and AP Chemistry. I currently teach honors chemistry and AP Chemistry.  I serve on the school improvement team and as an OEA building representative.
