Mr. Michael Dutton
Science Teacher
I received my master’s degree in teaching from National Louis University, Wheaton, Ill., in 2003, and my bachelor’s from Iowa State University, Ames, in chemistry with a Spanish minor in 2000.
Prior to coming to Oswego East High School (OEHS), I spent my time as a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician (EMT). In 2000, I was fortunate to have worked as a Special Education Teacher's Aide for two years while I received my master's degree. I have been priveledged to have worked as a full time teacher since 2002. This year marks the 16th year I have been teaching at Oswego East in the Science and Career and Tech Departments.
I currently teach all levels of physics and Project Lead the Way's Principles of Engineering(Introduction to Engineering Design(IED), Digital Electronics(DE), Principles of Engineering (POE).
I reside in our district with my Wife, who is also a teacher, and my 5 children. Aside from teaching, I love to build things, tinker with electronics/electricity, hang out with my family, and learn new things. If we aren't learning, we aren't growing.
