Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Cassandra Fichter

Math Teacher

I joined the faculty team at Oswego East High School (OEHS) in 2008. Prior to that, I started my college career at the College of DuPage, Glen Ellyn, Ill., to get my general requirements. During this time I began tutoring students in math and that helped me realize my passion for teaching. I transferred from DuPage to North Central College, Naperville, Ill., where I earned my bachelor’s degree in math with a minor in secondary education. I am certified to teach grades six through 12. I did all of my observation work and student teaching in neighboring District 204. I student taught at Waubonsie Valley High School, and worked at Neuqua Valley and Scullen Middle School, in Naperville, Ill. Five years ago, I received a degree of Master of Mathematics Education from Aurora University. I have been a mathematics teacher at OEHS for the past thirteen years, and have taught a variety of Algebra, Geometry, and Advanced Topics classes. I look forward to a great year!
