Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Amy Manuel
I am very excited to be your child’s kindergarten teacher this year. I am looking forward to a great year of opportunities and learning. I hope that your child will love learning and coming to school, as much as I love teaching. I received my bachelor’s in Education from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, and I completed my master’s in education at Olivet Nazarene University, in Bourbonnais, Ill. I have been teaching in Oswego School District 308 since 1995.
My mission as an educator is to provide for my students a safe environment conducive to learning. I will treat all the students with respect. I will guide students to work to their full potential at all times. I want to instill in my students the love of learning that carries beyond the classroom. I will help my students develop a positive image of themselves as lifelong learners. I am looking forward to working as part of a team to guide your child into the academic world. Please remember that you are your child’s first and most important teacher. I am only a temporary influence on your child’s life. I strive to make kindergarten a great experience for my students. Please feel free to contact me any time with any concerns you may have.
