I attended Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, where I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education with an endorsement in junior high language arts. In 2012, I earned my master’s degree in math education from National Louis University, Chicago.

Although I earned my bachelor’s degree in 1989, I stayed home with my children for many years before I began teaching at Long Beach Elementary School. I taught one year of first grade before moving to fifth grade which I taught for nine years.  I have been teaching 4th grade for several years now, and I truly enjoy it!
