Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Jennie Maloney
I have known since a very young age that I wanted to be a teacher. I have always loved helping children and making a difference in the lives of people I meet. What better way to do that than become a teacher?
I attended North Central College, Naperville, IlL and graduated with a degree in elementary education with a minor in English in 2002. I received my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2006, also from North Central College. For the first five years of my teaching career I taught in Clarendon Hills. This is my thirteenth year at Lakewood Creek Elementary School.
Since I have been at Lakewood Creek, I have served as committee chair for our school’s Family Math Night for six years. as well as served on our district’s English Language Arts committee. I found this to be such a rewarding experience, as I am truly able to put my Master’s Degree to practice with aligning our curriculum with the Common Core Standards. This will be my third year as the sponsor for our 5th Grade Ambassaor club.
