Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Amanda McKinney
I have been a speech-language pathologist in the Oswego School District since the 2006-2007 school year. I received my bachelor’s degree from Elmhurst College, in Elmhurst, Ill., in 2004, followed by my master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from Saint Xavier University, Chicago, in 2006. I have always wanted to help people with communication difficulties because I struggled with stuttering as a child. I received speech therapy from preschool to fifth grade at Highlands Elementary School in Naperville, Ill., and I have always wanted to help people the way I was helped. One of my speech “teachers” still has a lasting effect on me today.
I look forward to a great school year!
