Miss Christine Gamlin

Welcome to Churchill Elementary!

I started as a teacher assistant for the fourth and fifth grade team at Churchill Elementary School when it opened in 2005. In August 2006, I started teaching second grade and taught second grade for thirteen years.  In August 2019, I moved to the fourth grade team where I taught for two years. This year I will be teaching third grade and I am looking forward to continuing to learn and grow along with my students.  I did my student teaching in Batavia, IL, at J.B. Nelson Elementary School in second grade. I graduated from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, with a degree in elementary education, with junior high endorsements in language arts and social studies, in May 2005. In May 2011, I received my masters’ degree in reading from Olivet Nazarene University, in Bourbonnais, IL and I am excited to apply the knowledge I gained to our reading instruction in the classroom.  I live in Montgomery and I love being part of the SD308 community!

I am looking forward to a fabulous school year!
