Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Michele Lintner

I am excited about teaching 4th grade at Lakewood Creek this year! Ever since I was in first grade, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I had a wonderful first grade teacher that I always aspire to emulate as I work with students. I received my bachelor‘s degree from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, in elementary education, with junior high endorsements in language arts and social science. I also have a master's degree in teaching and learning from University of St. Francis. I have completed the Gifted Education Seminar and have an endorsement in gifted education. I previously taught 4th grade at Homestead Elementary for the last 3 years. Prior to teaching 4th grade, I taught gifted education at Fox Chase Elementary, Lakewood Creek, and Old Post for 6 years. My teaching career started as a 4th grade at East View Elementary, and I also have experience working with students in kindergarten through fifth grade in enrichment and as a teaching assistant. I enjoy offering my students opportunities to think critically, problem solve, and develop the skills needed to become lifelong learners.
