Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Laura Renfus

I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education with endorsements in mathematics, language arts, and social science from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana. I taught in Arlington Heights District 25 for eight years as a first grade, second grade, and multi-grade teacher. I also taught one year in the district-based gifted education program. I earned a master’s degree in elementary education from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Following several years of remaining home with my three daughters, I was eager to make my return back to the classroom and back to a profession that has provided me with an overwhelming amount of joy and sense of purpose. This year marks my tenth year in the district, four of which being spent here at Hunt Club Elementary. I am thrilled and honored to be able to share this fourth grade year with your child, and I look forward to the days we will spend learning and growing together.
