Ms. Kristy Miller
In 1995, I received a volleyball scholarship from Lakeland Community College, Kirtland, Ohio. After completing my associate’s degree, I transferred to Eastern Illinois University, where I studied athletic training and sports medicine. Upon completing my undergraduate degree, I was awarded a graduate assistantship at Eastern Illinois University, which allowed me to complete my master’s degree in cardiac rehabilitation.
I began my career as an Exercise Physiologist for St. John’s Hospital, in Springfield, Ill. I worked with heart patients for three years. I completed my teacher certification for health and physical education in 2005 at Northern Illinois University. I have worked for School District 308 at Plank Junior High School since the building opened.
