Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Kurt Daehnke
I came to School District 308 in fall 2002 as a student teacher from Western Illinois University, Macomb, Ill. I spent time at both Oswego High School (OHS) and Thompson Junior High School and fell in love with the district. After graduating from Western, I took a full time position teaching both kinetic wellness and social studies at Oswego High School in fall 2003. I currently teach the kinetic wellness classes of excel and sophomore physical education.
In spring 2009 I obtained a master's degree in educational administration from Governors State University, University Park, Ill. Currently I am in the process of earning an endorsement for driver’s education through Olivet Nazarene University, in Bourbonnais, Ill. At OHS, I am currently the head football coach at the sophomore level and supervise the fitness center after school in the spring and winter.
I am a member of the Professional Learning Community site team at OHS, and am also an American Heart Association certified BLS/CPR instructor.
