Degrees and Certifications:
I attended Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, where I received my bachelor’s degree in Spanish language and literature, with kindergarten through 12th grade bilingual/transitional teaching certificates. I am currently working on my master’s in Spanish language and literature at Northern Illinois University.
I started teaching Spanish at South Elgin High School for one semester in 2011. I then taught at St. Mary Catholic School, in DeKalb, for the 2011-12 school year. I taught grades pre-kindergarten through eighth and was in charge of Spanish Club. Finally, I ended up at Oswego High School, where I have taught Spanish and Spanish for Spanish speakers for three years.
My true passion is teaching Spanish to my students. I am also involved in Spanish Club. I am happy to be able to make connections with students through my culture and language, and I am always willing to have a good talk. Come see me any day! ¡Sí se puede!
