Mr. Paul Roberts

Science Department Chair

I have taught in 308 for 17 years, and have had the opportunity to teach at Oswego East High School since it opened. Go East! I taught at Oswego High School for three years prior to my tenure at East. For my undergraduate work, I went to Benedictine University, Lisle, Ill. Then I worked in a municipal wastewater/ water lab before going to graduate school. For my two master’s degrees, I attended Minnesota State University–Mankato (MSUM), where I was a graduate assistant in environmental health and safety. One of my master’s is in environmental science and water resources and the other is in experiential education. I then went to Aurora University, in Aurora, Ill., for an advanced certificate in administration.

While teaching at both of the district’s high schools, I have instructed all levels, from instructional support to advanced placement, in the disciplines of chemistry, physics, environmental science and Earth science. I also had an opportunity to take students on an experiential field trip to Silverton, Colo., to study snow and avalanches with various universities from around the country.
