Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Sean O'Neill
I attended Chelsea College of Human Movement, which was part of the University of Brighton, situated on the south coast of England. There, I received my bachelor’s degree in sports science before progressing to complete a post-graduate certificate in education in PE and special education. I then completed a diploma in applied professional studies in religious education. I taught at the equivalent of high school level from 1992 until 2008 and enjoyed teaching a wide variety of disciplines.
I obtained my Illinois teaching licensure and Learning Behavior Specialist 1 endorsement (received at Lewis University in Romeoville) in 2012. In my first year at OEHS, I worked in the LD department, but switched to ED the following year. I have enjoyed the many and various challenges presented in special education and the uniqueness of the children in my care.
