Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Max Knoecklein
I have been teaching with the Kendall County Special Education Cooperative (KCSEC) since 1999. My previous positions with KCSEC were with Yorkville High School, Bednarcik Junior High, and Opportunity School. I also worked in the ED classroom with SASED at Century Hills Education Center and with D204 at the Quincy Alternative Program.
My background includes growing up in Stamford, Conn., graduating from Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, Pa., in 1978, and teaching middle school in South Korea with the Peace Corps, pursuing a career in the Christian ministry, both attending Boise Bible College, Boise, Idaho, and completing a master’s degree at Lincoln Christian Seminary. Intending to use my training as a teacher, I served in positions in inter-city Chicago, and Carol Stream, Ill., before making the transition to public education. I completed my High School certification through Elmhurst College, in Elmhurst, Ill., in 1998.
I completed master’s degree in curriculum and instruction through Aurora University, in Aurora, Ill, on May 2015. This degree will help me focus my professional goals.
