I attended Eastern Illinois University where I received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2002.  I earned my master’s degree from Georgia State University in the areas of Reading, Language, and Literacy.  I am currently working on my doctorate in literacy from Judson University. This is my second year at Long Beach.  I am excited to work as a Reading Recovery teacher again.  My previous positions have been a first and second grade teacher, reading specialist, and a literacy specialist.  When I am not studying or working, I spend my time with my French bulldog, Farley.
