At Illinois State University, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Art with a sequence in Graphic Design. I worked in the graphic design field at an advertising agency and doing in house marketing and design for three years. During this time I realized I wanted to share my passion for art and learning with children. I returned to the classroom and earned a master’s degree in teaching from National Louis University.

I taught Art to sixth, seventh and eighth graders for six years at Eisenhower Junior High in Darien, IL. I spent some time at home raising my twins and now that they are in school I have returned back to teaching at Plank Junior High. This year at Plank I will be teaching 2D Art, 3D Art, and Graphic Arts.
