Mission Statement
-
The mission of the Deans' Office is to support the discipline code at Oswego High School and ensure that our campus is safe. It is also our desire to help foster a learning community that motivates students to achieve their highest potential. The school's discipline code promotes mutual respect among faculty and students and protects the rights of all individuals to pursue their education. In the Deans’ Office, we aim to support all Panthers through implementation of the Character Counts: 6 Pillars of Character, promoting a positive school culture, and encouraging all students to have pride in themselves and Oswego High School.
All staff members seek to foster a partnership between the school and our parent community, working together to support the growth of our students. To that end, we ask your support to help create a positive learning environment for our students.

Panther Families,
We are excited to announce a new way for you to let us know when your child will be absent from school or needs to leave early. Now you will have two options to report a student absence. You can choose to call us at 630-636-2001 or you can email us instead. You must use your parent/guardian email address that we have on file in Home Access, and you can send it to one of the following two email addresses based on the first letter of the student's last name:
(IMPORTANT NOTE: We will only accept absences reported by email from emails addresses that are listed Home Access for parent or guardian of the student who will be absent. Please make sure to check and update your email addresses in Home Access if needed.)
Please include the following information in the attendance email:
- Student’s first name and last name
- Student’s ID#
- Date of Absence. Please specify if they will be out all day, will arrive late or leave school early.
- If leaving early, please include their transportation (walk, pick-up, driving, etc)
- Will the student be returning to school? If so, please include the time they will return.
- Reason for the absence
- Person Calling/Emailing (Parent or Legal Guardian)
- Contact number for Parent or Legal Guardian
Due to the large volume of attendance needs, calls and emails will be addressed in the order that they are received. In order to ensure that your student’s needs are met, please call or email as early as possible. Students leaving school before the normal dismissal time are required to sign out at the Attendance Office.
Important Information

Important Information about calling in an absence: Each day a student is absent from school, a parent (or legal guardian) must call the attendance office of the school before 10:00 am on the date of the absence. This includes partial absences and tardy arrivals to school because attendance is taken every period of the day. If a call is not received, the absence may be unexcused. An unexcused absence can result in disciplinary consequences, as well as academic consequences. In order to report an absence, please call (630) 636-2001 or email the attendance offie at the addresses listed above.
