Mr. Jay Peterson
In 2001, I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, IL with my bachelor’s degree in social work. After graduation, I began my career as a social worker working with at-risk teenagers at an agency called Casa Central in Chicago, IL. In 2005, I graduated with a master’s degree in social work from Dominican University’s Graduate School of Social Work in River Forest, IL. I began my school social work career in 2007 at Thompson Instructional Center, a therapeutic day school, in Joliet, IL. In 2008, I began working for Kendall County Special Education Cooperative (KCSEC), where I served as a school social worker at Traughber Jr. High and Thompson Jr. High within SD308. I have proudly served as the school social worker at Grande Park Elementary School since the 2010-2011 school year.
