Mrs. Susan Knowles
I am happy to come to Oswego High School with 17 years of teaching Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS). I worked in New York State and during that time I earned a Fulbright teacher exchange and worked in Edinburgh, Scotland for two years. As a child I was very involved with 4-H and learned a great deal about sewing, food preparation and crafts. I actually started sewing and cooking in 3rd grade. During my high school years in 4-H, I competed in the area of clothing and textiles.
I have a B.S. in Home Economics Education with an emphasis in Clothing and Textiles from the State University of New York-Oneonta. I also hold a M.S. in Computers in Education from Long Island University
After my husband's job transferred us from NY to Chicagoland, decided to take the opportunity to stay at home with our children. It was a wonderful experience and during those years, I became involved in volunteer work, tri-athlon training, hiking and quilting. Our three girls are very involved in community service, school plays and musicals, gymnastics and horseback riding. They are so much fun to be around.
I am thrilled to be a member of the OHS community!
