This is a very exciting time to be a part of the library and information sciences. The use of technology in the library has opened up new avenues in research strategies, access of information, and methods of delivery. As we navigate through this Information Age, I am so very excited to serve the students and families of SD308 as the LRC Director at Oswego East High School.

My education began at Waubonsee Community College, and later, at Aurora University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. Moving forward with my love of literature, I earned a Master’s Degree from the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at Dominican University.

I am a native to this area and love it so. I was born in Naperville, I married in 1995, and moved to Yorkville where my husband and our two children still reside. We enjoy our kids, we like camping and fishing, and, of course, I love to read!

I’ve come to Oswego East with 20+ years of customer service and leadership experience. I was raised in a family owned business and understand the true meaning of collaboration. As LRC Director at Oswego East students come first. My main focus is to put the right book or resource into the student’s hand. Whether it is a fiction or an informational text, journal article, or interactive, online database we have the resources to make it happen at the OE LRC!! In addition, I believe the LRC is a communication hub for our students, our school, and its community. Using the resources and technology available in the OE LRC, we can keep our students, families, faculty, and staff in touch with the world around us.

While I truly enjoy what I do, it’s the students that truly make Oswego East High a wonderful place to serve!
