Mrs. Lauri French
My name is Lauri French. I am delighted to be working as your child’s ESL teacher. I will be supporting your child throughout the year by collaborating with their mainstream teacher, and helping to improve your child’s reading, writing, and listening skills.
I have worked in District 308 for over 10 years. . I truly love what I do and I can't wait to get into the classroom to challenge students and get them excited about learning. I have taught grades K- 9th grade. I have also taught French/Spanish in the Children's Program at Waubonsee Community College after school program and summer camps.
My mother tongue is Spanish and I am fluent in Spanish and can easily understand and speak some French as I lived in Paris, France prior to becoming a teacher. I enjoy the opportunity to enhance my students’ language skills by applying my extensive experience from other countries.
