Hunger is less prevalent in our community thanks to the Kendall County Community Food Pantry (KCCFP) providing thousands of food and household items to families every month. For the eighth consecutive year, Oswego Community Unit School District 308
and Allied First Bank will help to keep the KCCFP and
the Oswego Satellite Location well stocked!
In the U.S., the average cost of food per person is:
$11.05/day ..... $77.35/week ..... $342.50/month
With the Pantry’s bulk buying power ability to purchase $8 of groceries
for every $1 contribution, a $10 donation would feed someone for a week!
A $10 donation would be equivalent to 80 food items in the Food Drive Competition.
October 4 - October 13, all schools in the district will participate in the district’s annual food drive competition. Friendly competition between schools, with the school collecting the most combined total of actual items and "equivalent" items, will be awarded with a coveted trophy and "bragging" rights.
All online as well as in-person cash/check donations will be counted as $1 = 8 items towards the competition count (checks made payable to KCCFP).
