Miss Elizabeth "Lindsey" Gustin

My name is Elizabeth Gustin, however I go by my middle name: "Lindsey". I am a first year teacher and am very excited to begin my (second) career here at Oswego High School! I have always loved science and think about the world around me in through a scientific lense. My goal is to share that excitement and vision with my students!

I graduated from Augustana College in 2015 with a Bachelors of Arts in Science and a minor in psychology. Prior to teaching, I was a zoo keeper at Lincoln Park Zoo, but then found my true calling and went back to school for teaching. I had a few other jobs while I went back to school such as substitute teaching and working at an exotic animal hospital (primarily birds, reptiles, small mammals...). A few years later, I obtained my P.E.L. from National Louis University and am still currently enrolled in their M.A.T. program for my masters degree.

This year at OHS I feel very lucky to be teaching Biology and Honors Biology. As a student teacher I taught these courses at Naperville Central High School and ended up finishing out the year there with that same position while covering a long term leave.
