OEHS Graduation Instructions
Dear OE Graduates and Families,
In this unprecedented time, we appreciate your flexibility as we worked to find the best way to celebrate and recognize the accomplishments of the Class of 2020. You received an email with your individually assigned time to have the opportunity to walk across the OE stage in your cap and gown while your name is being read. If you need to check your time, please click on this link: https://www.sd308.org/Page/24575. Each graduate may be accompanied by two (2) guests . As they enter the building face coverings will be required for all individuals. Guests arriving without a graduate will not be admitted into the building. Please bring the diploma cover that you received in your senior bag if you would like it included in the picture that will be taken after you walk across the stage.
Please enter through door #41/Athletic Entrance five (5) minutes prior to your assigned time. With almost 700 graduates over the course of three (3) days, it is critical that you arrive promptly for your designated time as we cannot guarantee that your time can be rescheduled. Each group of students has been allotted approximately 20 minutes to complete the entire graduation process from entering door #41 to exiting through Door #4.
As you make your way to the Performing Arts Center (PAC), please maintain social distancing guidelines and wear your mask at all times. Graduates will be permitted to remove their mask/ face covering when they cross the stage and for pictures. Guests must wear their masks at all times. After crossing the stage in the PAC, graduates and guests will exit the building through door #4 (near the band room). Please keep this in mind as you choose your parking space. Guests are encouraged to enjoy watching the student procession without the use of photography or video, since both are being provided to each student by the school. If any recording or photo devices are used, the flash MUST remain off to avoid interference with the professional photo and video equipment.
On Monday, links for the following events will be released on the school website:
-- Livestream of filming for this 3-day Graduation event
-- Senior Award Virtual Ceremony
-- Top 10% Recognition Virtual Ceremony
The release of the complete Virtual Graduation Ceremony link will be shared as soon as it is available this summer.
We look forward to seeing you next week!
Sincerely,
Laura Bankowski
Principal
Sinceramente,
Laura Bankowski
