Bachelors of Science in Biology MA in Education with Secondary Certification
Mrs. Brittany Campos
Greetings! My name is Brittany Campos and the 2020-21 school year is my 1st year teaching at Oswego High School, although this marks my seventh year teaching overall. I currently teach both Chemistry and Biology. However, in the past, I have also taught Physical Science (ChemPhys), Geology, and Dual Biology. I graduated in May 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in biology and in May 2011 with a Master’s degree in Education with Secondary certification both from the University of St. Francis, Joliet, IL.
Before I came to District 308, I worked in the Diocese of Joliet, District 365U, and District U-46. During my time at District 365U, I have taught Physical Science (ChemPhys), Chemistry, and Biology. In addition, I have taught ARC (academic recovery center) where I have strived to be a positive influence on the students encouraging them to overcome their obstacles. I have also tutored homebound students and taught Extended Day Credit Recovery for Biology. Additionally, I have helped developed along with the other PLC members in Chemistry the curricula of Chemistry at Bolingbrook High School. During my time at District U-46, I have taught ELL Geology, ELL Biology, and Dual Biology. I have helped developed along with the other Dual PLC members the curricula of Dual Biology at Elgin High School. Assisted ELL students overcome their language barriers with the content and material of the class. Assisted Dual students with the complex science vocabulary and content in Spanish.
My dedication to students and to learning extends beyond the classroom. I aim to provide a learning environment that encourages students to take ownership of their learning and challenge them to strive to achieve their goals.
