Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Erin Szostak

I received my teaching certificate from Dominican University in Early Childhood Education.  Right after college I became a lead teacher in a preschool class.  After getting married and having my first daughter, I decided to stay home.  During that time, I realized I wanted to become a special education teacher.  When my second daughter came along, I went back to school and received my Masters degree in Special Education.  After 10 years of being at home with my girls, my youngest started Kindergarten and I was ready to go back to work.  In 2020, I was the Dedicated Special Education Building Substitute at Prairie Point Elementary.  I taught ESY  here at Brokaw over the summer and I feel very lucky to be able to join the Brokaw team full time!

I live in Oswego with my husband, 2 daughters and 2 dogs.  I love taking our dogs for walks, riding bikes, hiking, reading, watching movies and sitting on my front porch in the morning with a cup of coffee.

I cannot wait to spend the year with you, we are going to have so much fun!
