After graduating from Illinois State University in 1996, I substitute taught for the two years. I taught at a parochial school for two years and at a public school in the south suburbs for four years.  In December of 2003, I earned my master's degree from Governor's State University, Chicago, and I began teaching at Traughber Junior High School in 2004.
