Principal

I am looking forward to beginning another school year as part of the Murphy family!  Our staff, students, and community are amazing and I'm excited to continue to work with all of them. 

Prior to joining the District 308 team, I began my career in Valley View School District 365 in 2001, where I served in the capacity of a Middle School teacher, as well as a Dean of Students.  My leadership and mentoring roles in the building and district provided me with the opportunity to continue to build a positive rapport with staff, students, and the community in order to maintain a safe and successful building. I look forward to continuing this leadership and rapport this school year. 

I received my Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Toledo and my Administration and Leadership Certification from Benedictine University.  I am excited about continuing our journey together!  Go Mavericks!

Assistant Principal 

I am excited about the opportunity to join the Murphy Junior High family and SD 308. I look forward to collaborating with and supporting the staff, students, and families and creating an environment where every student thrives.  Prior to my time at Murphy, I was the Dean/Athletic Director at Minooka Jr High.  I also spent time at St. Charles North High School as the lead teacher in the Wellness Department.  Prior to that, I was the curriculum and assessment leader for wellness at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in Aurora.  I have also coached various sports since beginning my career in 2009.  

I received a sports management degree from the University of Illinois in 2001.  At that time, I worked for various professional sports leagues throughout the country. I received my master's degree from Northern Illinois University in 2009 and completed my Administration and Leadership degree from Benedictine University in 2012.  

I currently live in Oswego with my wife Megan, our son Liam, daughter Abigail and 2 dogs, Lucy and Finley.  We enjoy spending our time outdoors swimming, walking our dogs, and riding bikes.   

Assistant Principal 

I am excited to continue to be a part of the Murphy Junior High Administration and school community, serving as one of Murphy's Assistant Principals.  I look forward to working with our amazing teachers, students, families and community members.  

I received my bachelor's degree in elementary education from North Central College in 2008 and a master's degree in educational leadership from University of St. Francis in 2017.

Prior to joining the SD308 community, I worked in Valley View School District as an elementary teacher and instructional coach.  I look forward to working with our dedicated staff, students and families to promote academic growth.
