Principal

Welcome to an exciting year at Brokaw Early Learning Center.  I have been in the education field since 1988. I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Western Illinois University, Macomb, and a master’s degree in educational administration from University of St. Francis, Joliet, Ill. My teaching career started in 1988 as an early childhood teacher. I joined School District 308 in 2000 as part of the Early Bird Early Childhood program and then became a first grade teacher in 2001 at The Wheatlands Elementary School when the building opened. In 2005 I was appointed as the assistant principal of The Wheatlands and was there until 2014. In 2014, I transferred to Lakewood Creek Elementary and served as the assistant principal until 2018.

I am excited to get to know the students and families of Brokaw Early Learning Center and look forward to serving and growing with the community.

Welcome to the students, staff and families of Brokaw Early Learning Center! I am very excited to serve as your Early Childhood Special Education Coordinator at Brokaw Early Learning Center and Old Post Elementary School.

I come to District 308 with 12 years of experience in the field of special education. It is truly an honor to be part of the Oswego 308 School District and I look forward to working with families and staff to ensure the individual needs of each student are met.  Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have questions, concerns, suggestions, or celebrations you would like to share.  Wishing everyone a wonderful school year!
