Principal

Thank you to the Fox Chase staff and families for welcoming me to your school this year. I have spent the majority of my career in School District 308. I began with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Music from Aurora University. Prior to staying home with my children, I was a first grade teacher in a neighboring district. I began at Long Beach Elementary School as a computer lab assistant while my children were students there. It was an exciting change to teach music at Boulder Hill for several years and to get my master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University (2002). I have served the district in many administrative capacities including Staff Development, Assistant Principal, and Principal at many different buildings: Fox Chase, The Wheatlands, East View Kindergarten Center and, I am pleased to spend my 25th year in SD308, at Fox Chase Elementary School!

Assistant Principal

I am thrilled to serve as the Fox Chase Elementary assistant principal. I started in School District 308 at the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year.  Before arriving at Fox Chase, I worked in Plainfield for twelve years as a fifth grade teacher and an assistant principal. Prior to Plainfield, I taught in Oak Park, Elgin, and Naperville. I graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and elementary education. In 2009, I earned my master’s degree in educational administration from Governor’s State University in University Park, Ill. I am currently in a doctoral program for educational leadership at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Ill.

Since arriving at Fox Chase, I have found excited students, involved and supportive parents, and a dynamic staff who make our Jaguar community vibrant. I am delighted to have the opportunity towork with such an incredible group and look forward to an amazing year.
