Welcome to our Elementary page and thank you for visiting.
As part of the Teaching and Learning Team, the Elementary Education Department supports the staff, students, and parents in Early Childhood through Grade 5.  Currently our department is fully engaged with aligning and implementing curriculum in various content areas to the New Illinois Learning Standards.  The New Illinois Learning Standards are based on the Common Core State Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards.   Our department also supports best practice in additional programs including Physical Education/Health, Music, Art, and Library/Media.
In addition, District 308 provides student support for our English Language Learners (ELL), Gifted Education (GE), and student's needing reading and/or math intervention.
Our ultimate goal is to provide strategic learning opportunities to close achievement gaps, extend learning beyond the four walls of traditional classroom, and support students in a way that prepares them to be college and career ready.
Mission Statement: In partnership with our families and communities, Community Unit School District 308 will educate all students to reach their highest potential Questions or Feedback?
