On Thursday, November 11 Homestead celebrated Veterans Day together from our separate classrooms. Students participated in a moment of silence as a whole building, watched a slideshow presentation, honored veterans as they walked through our Veteran Hallway of Fame, learned about America's white table in LRC, and did an activity or two with their homeroom teacher. In lieu of a breakfast here at Homestead, our school chose to make a donation to Fox Valley Veteran Breakfast Club as they serve free breakfast to all veterans and their families in the area once a month. If you or a family member is a veteran, their next breakfast is Nov. 18. at 7:30 AM (19 E. Washington St. in Oswego). We highly encourage you to attend as we will be presenting our donation from Homestead at this breakfast.
