Student Artwork Selected by Nuclear Powers Illinois!
Nuclear Powers Illinois launched a student art contest last month to "find out why kids across the state think nuclear power is essential in Illinois." After reviewing their many submissions, on May 4th is was announced that 4th Grader Tarun Puri was selected as one of three winners! His piece of art, pictured below showed a happy earth with nuclear power and a very sad, sweaty earth without.
Something awesome about this art was that he won our school $1000 for our art program. Mrs. Gatenby was so proud of Tarun's work and excited for the prize to our school. Art can express so many different feelings and messages that words cannot! Great job Tarun! We are proud of this wolf!
