STEM Night Successes

 
Wolf’s Crossing Elementary School held its 4th annual Science Fair & STEM Night on April 14, 2016. This annual event is sponsored by the Wolf’s Crossing PTA and is supported by teachers, staff, administrators and parents.
62 students from Wolf’s Crossing grades K-5 presented projects at the Science
Fair.

Judges of the Science Fair projects included Susan McDougall from SD308, Wolf's Crossing faculty, and Oswego Gear It Forward Robotics students.
Each participating student received a Science Fair medal as a recognition for their accomplishment.
A Certificate of Achievement, based on judges scoring, was awarded to top projects from each grade.
The student with the most outstanding Science Fair project of the night was awarded a scholarship to a Chasewood Learning Summer STEM Camp.
Attendees at the Science Fair & STEM Night had an opportunity to fill out a Fan Favorite Ballot and voted for their favorite science project from each grade level. The top project votes for each grade received special recognition.
STEM Center presenters featured NIU STEM Outreach, Kendall County Forest Preserve, NALCO, Chasewood Learning, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS),and the Owsego Gear It Forward Robotics Team.
Snacks and beverages were on sale by the Oswego Gear It Forward Robotics Team as part of fundraiser for the team.
Tickets for a raffle were also sold during the evening to attendees for a chance to win a STEM activity package which was donated by Learning Express of Naperville. Proceeds from the raffle went to help fund next year's Science Fair & STEM Night.
