Junior High Photography Contest for Students
The entry fee is $5 per person, regardless of the number of entries.
Entries will be accepted on Friday, April 26th, 2019 from 3:15 to 5PM.
Entries must be picked up immediately following the show, on Saturday, May 4th, 2019 between 11am and 12 noon.
This contest is open to amateur photographers only.
There are no age restrictions for photographs.
The photographer submitting the entry must have taken the photo.
Entries will be limited to 2 color prints and 2 monochrome prints per category. The same photo cannot be entered twice.
If space is limited, due to number of entries, we reserve the right to select the prints for exhibition.
NO NUDE or suggestive photos will be accepted. We have the right to reclassify or eliminate any photo deemed questionable or inappropriate.
Prints must be 8"x1O" (11"x14" mount) and must be securely mounted or matted on BLACK mat board; one print per board, please.
The mount should not be more than 3 mat boards thick. Photos mounted on black poster board and/or black foam core will be accepted. Please, no light weight construction paper. Unmounted prints will not be accepted.
Prints must have the photographer's name, school, age, and category in UPPER LEFT hand corner, on the back of the mount.
IDENTIFICATION OF DIVISION
YOUTH - open to District #308 students only, 11- 14 years of age
2 color and 2 monochrome prints per category
Ribbons will be awarded in each of the 5 categories.
One Best of Show ribbon will be awarded overall.
Judges will be provided by the Sandwich Photographic Society; members of the CACCA. Judging will be held Saturday, May 4th, at 8AM.
The exhibit will be open to the public, from 9-11 AM, on Saturday, May 4th.
Winners will be on display in the front office for the remainder of the month of May.
