Press Release:  “We’re All in This Together” Helps the Brokaw Care Closet Grow

Items collected for Brokaw Care Closet

Oswego, Ill. (May 10, 2019) — Storm Dance Alliance, Storm Theatre, is known for fostering a supportive, united rehearsal environment. The cast of High School Musical Jr. worked hard preparing for the production of High School Musical which was held on April 25 and April 26.. The cast, ages 7 to 15, also worked hard to give back to the community through a food and toiletry drive. During the months of March and April, cast members brought in donations, ranging from baby bottles to canned goods to cleaning supplies. In total, the cast donated upwards of 200 items to the Care Closet at Brokaw Early Learning Center. The Care Closet provides student and families with food, and personal items in a confidential setting. While being supportive of one another in rehearsals was the initial goal, extending this outreach to the community helped to really bring home the musical’s message that “We’re All in This Together”.
