In October, over 150 students attended Oswego East High School’s first student lunch and learn entitled: AP Potential. The event was open to all who were interested in learning more about School District 308’s Advanced Placement Program, especially to our special guests who were identified by the College Board as having AP Potential based on their PSAT 8/9 and PSAT 10 scores.
Students, AP teachers, counselors, department chairs, and administrators discussed the benefits and challenges of enrolling in any of the 34 AP courses which are offered. The goal of the lunch and learn for students and families was to provide them with information and access to more effectively navigate the course selection process along with college and career planning.
