Kenneth C. Spranger Selected as Assistant Principal at Traughber Junior High School for 2020-21 School Year

Oswego, Ill. (July 22, 2020) — Oswego Community Unit School District 308 Board of Education approved at their June 27, 2020 special board meeting Kenneth C. Spranger as Assistant Principal at Traughber Junior High School for the 2020-21 school year.

 

“His previous experiences with students, staff and community members make Mr. Spranger a wonderful match for Traughber Junior High School,” said Shannon Leuders, Director of Junior High Education at SD 308, “and we are pleased to have him join our district.”

 

Spranger began his education career in 2006 as an elementary physical education teacher, after which he moved to the middle school level where he taught physical education and coached for six years.  In 2013, he held an assistant principal role at Whispering Wind Academy until 2015.  From 2015-2019, Spranger served as the principal of North Ranch Elementary.   Prior to SD 308, Spranger was serving as the building principal at Wells Elementary School.

 

Spranger obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Physical Education) from Monmouth College, Monmouth, Illinois; Bachelor of Science (Kinesiology), Western Illinois University, Macomb, Arizona; and M.Ed. Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, Arizona.

 

“I am excited to work with the Traughber leadership team, staff, students and families to continue the rich tradition of excellence and to work closely in providing an engaging and memorable educational experience,” said Spranger.
