SD 308 Seeks Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Board Advisory Committee Members
Oswego, Ill. (September 9, 2020) — Oswego Community Unit School District has started the process of accepting applications of those interested in serving on the Board of Education’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee.
“The advisory committee will serve to support and promote the Board of Education’s goals related to diversity, equity and inclusion,” indicated Faith Dahlquist, Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services, and LaTonya Simelton, DEI Coordinator. “The committee collaborates with district stakeholders to support the processes that create an inclusive school community where all students benefit. The committee advocates for centering equity in district policies, practices, curricula, resources and school culture.”
Individuals interested in serving on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Board Advisory Committee can apply online at www.sd308.org/BOEAdvisoryCommittee. Applications will be accepted through Wednesday, September 23rd at 4:00pm.
