Board of Education Approves Dr. Jadon A. Waller as Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion
and Family Engagement

Oswego, Ill. (July 13, 2021) — Oswego Community Unit School District 308 Board of Education has approved Dr. Jadon A. Waller as the new Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Family Engagement for the 2021-2022 School Year.

Dr. Waller’s educational career began in 2011 at South Shore International College Prep High School, Chicago, Illinois, as a Teacher in their English Department. Her most recent position prior to joining SD 308 was at Joliet School District 86, Dirksen Junior High School, Joliet, Illinois, as an Assistant Principal.


“It is a privilege to join the transformative Oswego 308 team,” said Dr. Waller. “I look forward to building relationships, making connections, and collaborating with my new colleagues, students, and families as we continue the journey to cultivate diversity, equity, and inclusion in every students’ educational path by understanding, validating, and celebrating who they are through rigorous and meaningful instruction and experiences."


Dr. Waller earned her B.A., English with Teacher Certification from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois; M.A., Educational Leadership: Type 75 Certification, Concordia University, River Forest, Illinois; and Doctorate of Education (Ed.D)-Curriculum and Instruction, Concordia University, River Forest, Illinois.


“Dr. Waller will add to our efforts to improve our climate for learning for all students and staff and increase opportunities for family engagement,” said Faith Dahlquist, Associate Superintendent of Educational Services. “She brings great enthusiasm, administration experience, and fresh ideas to our team.”
