Board Member

Dr. Amy Murillo joined the SD 308 Board of Education in 2023, bringing with her a wealth of experience as an educator and district leader. Her career has spanned multiple roles, including classroom teacher, department chair for world languages, assistant principal, and more, giving her a deep understanding of the many facets of teaching and learning.

Dr. Murillo is proud of the progress the district has made and remains optimistic about SD 308’s bright future. She places particular value on the district’s commitment to ensuring students learn from highly qualified professionals, supported through competitive wages and meaningful professional development opportunities.

A resident of the community for more than 20 years, Dr. Murillo has witnessed firsthand the high-quality education SD 308 provides. Her three oldest children are district alumni, and her youngest is a current student. She also served as an educator in the district for many years, further strengthening her personal and professional connection to SD 308. Outside of her Board responsibilities, Dr. Murillo enjoys attending community events and engaging in thoughtful conversations with families, staff, and neighbors.
