Key Outcomes of the Wellness Priority


SD 308 is actively working to make schools safer, more supportive, and welcoming for everyone. Over the next three years,the district will improve emergency plans and train staff on crisis response. Schools will focus on creating inclusive learningspaces where all students feel valued. The district will also assess school safety, address unfair gaps in opportunities, andexpand wellness resources for staff, including mental health and financial support. By 2028, these efforts will help build asafer, healthier, and more connected school community.

1. Embed a shared definition of cultural and relational responsiveness into Tier 1, Tier 2,and Tier 3 instructional framework to foster supportive and engaging learning environments so all students are rightfully present.
2. Communicate and practice use of common language and systemic responses in emergencies and preparedness training with students, staff, and families for clear understanding and action in times of crisis.
3. Develop and train a district-wide reunification process in the event of campus-wide evacuation.
